Biography
Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who is the 46th and current president of the United States. He previously served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017, under President Barack Obama, and as a United States senator from Delaware from 1973 to 2009.
Early Life and Career
Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and raised in Claymont, Delaware. He graduated from the University of Delaware and Syracuse University Law School. He served on the New Castle County Council from 1970 to 1972 and was elected to the United States Senate in 1972, becoming one of the youngest senators in history.
